Um referencial teórico-metodológico para o desenvolvimento de pesquisas sobre atitude: a Teoria do Comportamento Planejado de Icek Ajzen

Abstract

Muitas das investigações em ensino de Ciências que envolvem a aferição de atitudes têm apresentado resultados pobres e/ou confusos em função de não adotarem um referencial teórico-metodológico consistente e sem ambiguidades. A divergência no significado atribuído pelos pesquisadores ao construto "atitude" tem dificultado a interpretação dos resultados de suas pesquisas e o estabelecimento de relações entre as conclusões alcançadas. Neste trabalho, defendemos a Teoria do Comportamento Planejado (TCP), de Icek Ajzen, como um referencial teórico-metodológico potencialmente útil para pesquisas em ensino de Ciências que envolvam aferição de atitudes. Segundo a TCP, as atitudes, somadas a aspectos relacionados à pressão social percebida, à infraestrutura disponível e à habilidade dos indivíduos, são preditoras das intenções comportamentais em relação a um comportamento específico. A TCP tem potencial de amparar pesquisadores na confecção de instrumentos para mensuração de atitudes, na interpretação de seus resultados e no planejamento de programas de intervenção que aumentem as chances de consecução de seus objetivos.
